Ripped out eye ball.
Another prop that I have used for my final piece are some eyeballs that I have ordered from internet. They are eyeballs for making dolls and they looked too small to be human eyes so when I was taking photos and filming I used a 50mm to take some photos and also a 200mm with a magnifying filter on it to make the eyes look bigger.
To make the eyes look bloody and like they have been ripped out of someone's face, I have used some left overs of liquid latex that we have in college, some face paints and also fake blood. The first thing that I did was cover the back of the eye with latex and left a little tail like end so it looks like the nerve is hanging out.
After covering all eyeballs with latex, I had to wait until the latex was dry and I could paint them. I have used red, black and brown paints to cover the latex and after the paints have dried a little bit I have used some fake blood to cover the eye with and to make it look like it's been ripper out recently.
For my final piece I wanted to put those eyeballs in a jar full of blood to make it look really scary.First time I have put those eyeballs in the jar, I had to set up the lighting right, I didn't want a lot of light shining on the eyeball,so I have used a small table lamp. And before filming the eyeballs I have taken some photos using a 200mm with a magnifying filter on it so you could see more detail in the photo.
