Satanism
Satanism is not easily defined. There are several "divisions" of Satanism. In contrast to Christians, Satanists themselves disagree on their very fundamental principles. Christians may differ in opinion or conviction about interpretation of certain Bible passages, but they believe the same foundational principle that Jesus is God’s Son who paid the price for our sins by dying on the cross and rising from the dead. Satanists argue among themselves whether Satan even exists and whether they are worshiping him or themselves. In essence, they are a confused group bound by lies.
It is because of these lies that there is a plethora of ideologies within Satanism. Some of Satanism's practices are constant, and Satanists' unity is found more in rituals than in an underlying belief system. Satanists do certain things; they do not have to believe certain things.

The exercise that I did today was really interesting and also experimental. We had to chose some symbols that we like or are interested in and experiment with them, using UV paints and different light conditions. I decided to use Satanic symbols such as Pentagram and images of skulls and goats with the pentagram in the middle of the image.I chose this because I quite like the way some of the cymbals are drawn and the way they look and I wanted to re-create some of the images that I have found on different websites.
These are just images that my tutor took of me making the props for the photography and filming samples with the satanic symbols. Some of them I have just cut out and stuck on black paper so the background is really smooth. I have re-drawn one of them and using a UV paint just went over the image so when I brought it to the UV light itself both things were showing up on the camera.
This is the first symbol that I have made. It was really simple because I have just cut out the pentagram and put it on a black sheet of paper so the background is smooth and I have used a 50mm to take this photo. I like how the white has turned blue under the UV light which makes it very interesting to me.
For this second image I have used two same images. In the background I have the image that I have used in my first photo and in the front I have used an acrylic piece and I have painted the pentagram on it with the UV paints. I think it looks really interesting and unusual, because the acrylic is in the way, it changes the whole color of the photo. I also like that there is depth of field in this photography, because the front image is blurred out and the background is in focus.
This particular image I am not very fond of because it doesn't look as extreme and exiting as the other ones that I have made. What I have done to make this image is cut out an existing pentagram and re-drawn it on some white paper and then used a UV paint to paint over the drawing. I don't think it looks really good because you can still see the pencil itself on the paper.
Personally I think that this photograph is really good and experimental in it's own way and it's also one of my two favourites. It is a picture of a pentagram but it has been altered to look like it was painted with someone's blood. I really like this image because it's different from any others that I have found. I like it because it doesn't have any smooth edges and it's very rough painted which is a style which I like a lot. I like the roughness and darkness of it.
This is another experimental photo that I have took. I used a 200mm lens on it because I could zoom in more on the actual image and the details within the image. It is a little bit dark but I like it because a lot of the image has black in it but the skulls and the pentagram are white which stand out in the photograph and to make it even more different I have used a little bit of UV paint and just painted some outlines of the skulls and pentagram and I think this turned out to be a really good photograph.
